You may have tried out black beer, white beer or even the cheese beer. But have you tried the  Abashiri blue beer yet? If you are not a resident Japanese or have not been to the country in the last five years then there is no chance of you being acquainted with this new beer.

But now you may get to sample and enjoy this bright blue beer, thanks to Firebox.com.

The blue beer is made from the water of melted icebergs that are collected from the Sea of Okhotsk off the coast of Japan. The Abashiri gets its aquamarine colour from a blend of blue seaweed and local flowers.

And you must be wondering how does it taste. The latest entrant to the beer market has a light and refreshing taste.

The blue beer was launched in Japan five years ago, but was not available elsewhere, until now.

Manufacturers of the Abashiri blue beer may not be worried about entering a crowded market. Its unique colour is more than enough to attract beer lovers to this beverage.
