India's steel minister Beni Prasad Verma compared Narendra Modi, BJP prime ministerial candidate, to Hitler and Mulayam Singh Yadav, chief of Samajwadi Party to Mussolini on Sunday. Verma reportedly said that the two leaders had a good knowledge about polarization of votes.

Verma while refering to the Muzaffarnagar riots said that the incident was a result of Hitler and 'Mussolini's friendship. He went on to state that in UP the SP would be be routed while the Congress would win around 50 seats in the general elections.
